0 Saturday, It's A Saturday

Since I'm off in Lala Land this weekend, I thought I'd give you a Saturday recap from a couple of weeks ago...this time I was joined by Dante. We first went to some garage sales, but didn't have much luck {actually, at one point we thought we were in a horror movie, so we decided to ditch the garage sales and stick to my favorite Saturday markets}

So, we went to the Crescent City Farmer's Market, where we got lots of veggies, homemade fruit juice, and flowers {from my favorite ladies' booth}

We noticed this across the street...although I've been on this corner many times, I had never noticed this garage/art installation. But it is black, white, yellow and completely fantastic! The owner happen to be waiting for someone outside, so he let us go in and take a couple of pics...

Then we walked to Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar for breakfast {which was simple but fantastic...so were the bloody mary's} We discovered some fun buildings on the way {SQUEEZE!}... This is something I love about New Orleans, there is always something new to discover...

Next we took a look at this church, which appears to still be closed from the storm...but still quite beautiful...

Next we were off to the Feret Streets Art Market, where we picked up some fun art magnets...but it was hot so we decided to head to Magazine Street...where we found this secret garden...and then had fantastic Hansen's Snow Balls to cool off...and then I took a nap!

2 Inspiration {Outdoors}

Simple, great outdoor inspiration.
Be back from LA next week...have a great weekend!

1 Etsy {Jet Set Paper}

These Jet Set Notebooks with the airport codes and corresponding Area Code Note Cards from Jet Set Paper are great. Many major cities are available in the Etsy Store, and others can be custom made...I might have to represent for the 504...
Also appropriate since I am going to Los Angeles to visit my family tomorrow!

0 Black, White, + Yellow {Toast Edition}

Let's talk about how much I want, no no need, this dress from Toast...

{Side note} I've decided that dresses are the only acceptable thing to wear given the temperature and humidity...so I wear them every day now...no jeans allowed until September...

0 Architecture in Process {Job Site Edition}

Some pics from a site visit to one of our parking garage projects...

0 Etsy {Brenda Rose}

{side note} this great piece sold out before I could put this post together, but her other work is great too...check out it out on Etsy

0 Inspiration {Domino House Tour}

I really fell in love with this Rhode Island house in the last issue of Domino. It belongs to Carina Schott, Karim Hamid, and their cute kids {the little one is named Franny, how cute is that?} It is as they call it "warm modernism" {I think a great way to describe the style- I might have to add that to my style description} with Scandinavian influence. It is really beautiful and simple...very inviting...
{PS} Check out how adorable their store NonchalantMom is too...

2 Inspiration {Flowers}

I'm really digging the combination of pink and green flowers these days {sorry D}....How nice would it be to attend that party with those little cakes? Consider me RSVP'd...

0 Little Birdies {Spool Sewing}

I have invited myself to help my friend Kelli as she decorates her kids rooms. {because I really love designing rooms...especially kids room...and these kids are really freaking cute} I think these birds from Spool Sewing may be on the agenda in our near future...
